Unlike wax, polish does not need to dry. In fact, it must not be allowed to dry. Thoroughly work it into the surface one section at a time, then immediately remove the residual haze before beginning the next section. Allowing a polish to dry on the surface will not benefit the paint in anyway whatsoever and in fact, you risk damaging the paint as you will find it tough to remove, necessitating excessively hard rubbing.
